COVID-19 information for our patients 14-Mar-2020

The health and wellbeing of our patients and that of the wider community is our primary concern.  We are committed to support the strategy of flattening the epidemic's curve by slowing transmission, and will continue to monitor and follow advice from the Government and Public Health England.  Therefore we are still open and taking bookings as normal with the following measures in place:

Our current measures:

1. We will continue to maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the clinic:

  • Practitioners already wear gloves for all patient contact (this is above current osteopathic standards).

  • Treatment couches and other equipment are sanitised after each patient.

  • Public areas and frequently touched objects and surfaces (e.g reception desk, door handles etc) are cleaned and disinfected at the end of a day’s session.

2. We will decline to treat patients arriving with symptoms of the virus as a precaution. Patients cancelling for this reason will not be charged.

3. We are monitoring our own health and will temporarily close if one of our team needs to self-isolate.

Our expectations of you:

1.  Please do not attend your appointment, and stay at home for 7 days if you have either:

  • a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back

  • a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly.

You will not be charged for cancelling for this reason.

2. Please maintain your own personal hygiene by washing your hands often and thoroughly, use a tissue for coughs, and avoid touching your face.
