RECEPTIONIST/ PRACTICE MANAGER (part-time)

£16,000 (24 hours per week)

A vacancy has arisen for a Receptionist/ Practice Manager to work on a part-time basis within our small, busy and award winning Clinic on the edge of Norwich.

Hours will be 9am – 4pm Monday, Tuesday, Thurs, Friday, with 1 hr lunch break.

Job summary:

  • Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with our patients to answer queries, book appointments, take payments, address customer complaints or concerns, and manage their patient journey.  

  • Provide administrative support to practitioners.

  • Maintain financial records including purchases, sales, receipts and payments.purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Ensure compliance to payment processing requirements, process accounts payable and receivable and manage invoices and payments.

  • Manage the daily operations of the clinic by maintaining stock and consumables, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, reviewing and updating clinic policies, organising quarterly clinic meetings and taking the minutes, helping to organise advertising campaigns, developing and maintaining links with local businesses, and assisting the Clinic Director with implementing the marketing strategy.

Key skills and qualifications:

Essential:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Good customer service orientation, and experience in a customer facing role

  • Polite and professional telephone manner

  • An understanding of patient confidentiality

  • Excellent PC skills including MS office

  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

  • Data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Motivated and able to use own initiative

  • Good organising and planning skills

  • Reliable

  • Understanding of own behaviour and how this impacts on colleagues, patients and visitors

Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare setting

  • AAT2 or AAT3 bookkeeping qualification

  • Experience of project management and coordination.

  • Some experience/knowledge in marketing techniques, human resources practices, and/or health & safety.

PRACTITIONER OPPORTUNITIES:

We are always looking for talented new practitioners to join our team alongside alongside our two experienced osteopaths.

Mainly structural approach, but additional skills in acupuncture or paediatrics would be an advantage. Good interpersonal and patient management skills essential. Two to three days per week available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and two Saturdays per month.
