Online videolink appointments available now

The health and wellbeing of our patients and that of the wider community remains our primary concern. We are committed to reduce transmission, protect the NHS, and ultimately save lives.

As of the Prime Minister’s address at 8.30pm on 23rd March 2020 we suspended all face to face bookings. Since then we have sought clarification from both our governing body and our insurers, and we are now able to offer online appointments by videolink for patients who still need help.

The purpose of the online videolink appointment system is to triage patients. This means that we will do one of the following:

  • offer some online treatment in the form of advice, exercise prescription and self-management,

  • offer a face to face appointment to either aid further diagnosis or provide osteopathic treatment to urgent patients with severe pain,

  • refer you onwards to your GP/walk in clinic/A&E.

It is our intention to manage the vast majority of patients seeking help by remote videolink treatments. Please do not be disappointed if you are not offered a face to face appointment.

If, after triage, a face to face appointment is offered it will be permitted as a reasonable excuse to seek medical assistance from an osteopath. In this instance, your and our safety remains our primary concern and we have put in place all measures as detailed in "COVID-19 Guidance for infection prevention and control in healthcare settings infection”, and have all required Personal Protective Equipment. http://www.norwichosteopathicclinic.co.uk/news/2020/3/23/update-covid-19-information-for-our-patients
